Baby Steps 20+
The Baby Steps team has been working in Falkirk since 2017 and Baby Steps 20+ was formally independently established as a community interest (not for profit) company in late in 2020.
We provide paid employment opportunities for adults with a range of special needs. Our team have been with us for many years, and are crucial to the success of the enterprise.
In Baby Steps, we have 3 main aims, which are:
To provide paid employment for adults with disabilities,
To provide a recycling, and donations resource for local people, to divert the amount of ‘no longer needed’ goods going to landfill.
To support local families by providing a resource for high quality, reasonably priced baby goods.
In our wonderful shop in Kirk Wynd in Falkirk, our team accept donations of baby equipment, which are then checked and prepared in line with REVOLVE guidelines, ensuring that the items available in the shop are of the highest quality.
Our customers come from far and away to buy in Baby Steps,- from Essex in the south- to Fort William and Aberdeen in the North. Visitors from America and France also shop for take home baby gifts.
We are very proud of our success in achieving REVOLVE certified – which is a quality standard, providing reassurance to our customers. We are also proud to have been awarded Disability Confident certification in January 2021- demonstrating our commitment to working with people affected by disability.
We love working in Falkirk, and cant wait to get back to work after lockdown!
Our customers support and encourage our staff in their work, and in turn our staff develop more skills, grow in confidence and become more independent, practical people.
