I recently built a basic aluminium pergola, and now I’m looking for ideas to make it feel cozier. Has anyone here added side curtains or lighting? I’m going for a relaxing evening vibe, not something overly bright or flashy.

I got some great inspiration from https://closethedeal.co.uk/catalogs/pergola-gazebo. I added soft linen curtains that move with the breeze and fairy lights woven through the beams. It completely transformed the space — like a cozy outdoor lounge. I also used solar lights so I don’t need to run cables.
